Advisory
Neighborhood Commission 3F respectfully requests that Inspector Andrew Solberg
be reinstated as Acting Commander of the Second District as soon as
possible. Inspector Solberg has
apologized publicly for his comments of July 10, 2006.
During his
brief tenure in the Second District, Inspector Solberg has impressed the
community with his willingness to meet with neighborhood groups, to improve
policing in the community, and to communicate with the public. He has responded promptly to citizen
concerns expressed on the Tenleytown, Chevy Chase, Cleveland Park and MPD-2D
listservs.
The
foregoing was approved by a vote of 6-0-0 at a duly noticed public meeting of
ANC 3F on July 20, 2006 with a quorum present (four constituting quorum).
