Dear Ms. Flowers:

At a duly noticed public meeting on February 13, 2006, ANC 3F voted 6-0-0, with a quorum present, to support the Friends of Forest Hills Playground, Inc., (FOFHP) in their request to the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation to hold a Family Day event on the field at the Forest Hills Playground located on Chesapeake Avenue, NW. This event is scheduled for Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The FOFHP has received permission from the Capital Memorial Seventh-Day Adventist Church, which borders the park, to use the church’s parking and restroom facilities for the event.

The FOFHP has been active in preserving and maintaining the Forest Hills Playground. They conducted a very successful event in the park for Halloween 2005.
