Re: Public space application for 2800 Chesterfield Place, N.W.
Dear Mr. Kehoe:
Further reference is made to your letter of July 30, 2003 notifying ANC3F of an application to occupy public space for the purpose of constructing a new driveway for a new house at 2800 Chesterfield Place, N.W. On September 16, 2003, ANC3F replied with “No Objection” to the proposed driveway and noted that the “no Objection” did not include the removal of a street tree located in the driveway area.
On October 20, 2003, at a public meeting, ANC3F reconsidered the application including the removal of the city tree in the public space that will be occupied by the proposed driveway.
ANC3F voted 6-0-0, “No Objection” to the application including the removal of the street tree provided that the applicant replaces the tree with a tree of a type and size approved by the Urban Forestry Administration.
