Neighbor,
My
name is Alison Howard, and I have recently been elected President of the
Friends of Forest Hills Playground, Inc.
The outgoing President, Karen Ball, has left us a true legacy in the
Forest Hills Playground on the corner of 32nd and Chesapeake
streets. Karen and her husband, David
VonDrehle, and Laura Cihra, can be credited with the development and
maintenance of our wonderful neighborhood park. It is through their fundraising efforts, the relationships they developed
with the city and with the community that we have such a safe, beautiful and
fun park to which we bring our children. This letter is designed to recognize
this group for their outstanding contribution to our neighborhood, and to
publicly acknowledge our thanks to them for their diligence on our families’ behalf.
In
being chosen to continue their efforts, I have expanded the board and wanted to
share with you the new face of the Friends of Forest Hills Playground Inc:

are looking for volunteers to help with maintenance, event planning and
execution, and fundraising. If you are
interested in volunteering in a specific capacity, please contact one of the
Chair People and copy me in your email so I can have your email address. You will also be added to the general email
list of volunteers. If you are not
interested in volunteering at this time, please consider joining the webgroup
to get the latest updates on park events.
Thank
